First Lady Melania Trump and the United States Administration today honored the Milwaukee Bucks, an NBA champion team, for their outstanding service to the United States military. The Bucks will be hosting US troops at the USMC Headquarters, Randolph-Macon Naval Air Station, on Tuesday, November 6, 2017.
The visit to the naval air station will be a symbolic recognition of the significant commitment the Bucks made to our nation’s armed forces, including support of Special Operations, support of the outreach programs of U.S. military service members and families, support of USO benefits and more. The Bucks will also be awarding medals to our US service members during the visit.
The Presidential Medal of Honor, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal are among the medals the Bucks will present.
The meeting will occur the day after the Bucks’ highly anticipated home opener against the Houston Rockets.
